My Wife's Boyfriends

My Wife's Boyfriends
âm married, but I have a âdatingâ question. I have an attractive, personable wife who gets along with both men and women. The problem is she gets along too well with men. They send her emails and they even call the house. When she talks with them, itâs like she talking with one of her girlfriends where she tells them everything. Recently, at one of her office social functions, a man walked up to me to tell me he was happy we solved our little bedroom problem. My wife is far from naïve and I know she understands when I tell her how upset this makes me, but she doesnât want to seem to listen. How can I get her to stop these inappropriate relationships with these men?

Dear Eagan
This isn't a dating question, it's a marriage question, and it's a matter of respect. Your wife does continues these relationships, which have gone over the line, because you've given her no consequences. You've told her they upset you and she doesn't respect it. You need to tell her under no uncertain terms, that this is a deal breaker. She can have you or she can flirt with all these men where she uses you as a conversation piece, but she can't have both and if she doesn't stop and work on your marriage, you are going to give her the room to have all her friendships unencumbered. Then you have to be ready to make good on it by leaving.
She treats you this way because that's how you taught her you can be treated. Stand up for yourself and she'll soon stand with you or stand alone.
